It came out of a request we could not fill from the book. Pink Tourmaline sets the temperature of the piece and yellow gold follows it — pyroelectric, and it attracts dust because of it. Cast in 18K Yellow Gold by lost wax, then filed and pre-polished before a stone goes near it. The setting on SI-013 is rub-over bezel at 14.8 mm span. All 5 stones are seated individually against the reference tray rather than to a jig. The last polish is deliberately slow, because speed rounds an edge that took an hour to cut. It passes six inspection gates between wax and pouch.
Rubellite Arc is shown in 18K Yellow Gold — 18K, 75% fine gold, warm, and the traditional choice for yellow and green stones. The same mount can be made in white gold, rose gold, platinum or 950 palladium, quoted on the metal weight of 5.2 g rather than a flat uplift. Platinum runs roughly a third above 18K on this design because it is denser and slower to work. All gold and platinum is BIS hallmarked with the ANAGARI maker's mark.
18K Yellow Gold — 75% fine gold alloyed with silver and copper for a warm, slightly deep yellow. Struck with the BIS hallmark and the house mark.
Total carat weight is 4.60 ct, made up of pink tourmaline and amethyst. Pink Tourmaline is Mohs 7–7.5 and untreated — pyroelectric, and it attracts dust because of it. Colour is matched across the run under standard light, and any stone over 0.30 ct in a diamond piece ships with an independent certificate. Colour stones carry an ANAGARI identification report; IGI or GIA certification is available at cost.
Pink Tourmaline — A pink tourmaline selected in-house for saturation and clarity, matched by eye to the metal it sits in.
Amethyst — A amethyst selected in-house for saturation and clarity, matched by eye to the metal it sits in.
Weight, dimension and stone count are checked against the signed first article — 5.2 g on SI-013. Six inspection gates sit between wax and packing: wax, casting, pre-polish, setting, finish and final. Setting is checked at ten-power on all 5 stones, and nothing advances on a supervisor's word alone. Made in Jaipur under one roof, which is why a query is answered the same afternoon rather than the next month.
Rubellite Arc was made with birthdays, birthstones and the pleasure of colour, openings, dinners and any room you intend to be remembered in and a wardrobe rather than an occasion in mind. It photographs well, but it was built to be looked at from a foot away. Sizing runs IN 5 to IN 18; resizing up to two sizes is complimentary for life.
Rubellite Arc is one of the references we will rebuild to order. Straightforward changes — a different centre stone, a change of metal to white gold, carat weight up or down and a matte, satin or hammered finish in place of the polish — are specified in the customisation studio and add nothing to the lead time; booking and pricing follow once the specification is settled. Structural changes, such as taking this cocktail to a different architecture entirely, need a conversation and a new CAD; that runs six to eight weeks from approval. Private-label and OEM versions of this mount are quoted from one piece upward.
Rubellite Arc sets pink tourmaline and amethyst together, so: do not put this piece in an ultrasonic cleaner — Amethyst will not survive it. Warm water, a drop of pH-neutral soap and a soft brush is the correct method. Work from underneath; the film that kills brilliance collects behind the stone, not on it. Store separately and flat — a shared pouch is a slow-motion accident. Remove before contact sport, gardening, and whenever you apply fragrance, sunscreen or hand cream.
