It came out of a request we could not fill from the book. Diamond sets the temperature of the piece and yellow gold follows it — the only stone that scratches itself. Cast in 18K Yellow Gold by lost wax, then filed and pre-polished before a stone goes near it. The setting on SI-084 is rub-over bezel at 12.4 mm width. All 22 stones are seated individually against the reference tray rather than to a jig. Finishing is done in three passes, the last by hand, so the arrises stay sharp. Baguette Bypass is shown in 18K Yellow Gold — 18K, 75% fine gold, warm, and the traditional choice for yellow and green stones. The same mount can be made in white gold, rose gold, platinum or 950 palladium, quoted on the metal weight of 9.1 g rather than a flat uplift. Platinum runs roughly a third above 18K on this design because it is denser and slower to work. All gold and platinum is BIS hallmarked with the ANAGARI maker's mark.
18K Yellow Gold — 75% fine gold alloyed with silver and copper for a warm, slightly deep yellow. Struck with the BIS hallmark and the house mark.
Total carat weight is 2.64 ct. Diamond is Mohs 10 and untreated — the only stone that scratches itself. Colour is matched across the run under standard light, and any stone over 0.30 ct in a diamond piece ships with an independent certificate. Colour stones carry an ANAGARI identification report; IGI or GIA certification is available at cost.
Diamond — Natural, conflict-free and traceable to the cutting house. Graded by IGI or GIA above 0.30 ct.
Every piece is weighed and dimensioned against the approved article before it leaves the floor — 9.1 g on SI-084. Six inspection gates sit between wax and packing: wax, casting, pre-polish, setting, finish and final. Setting is checked at ten-power on all 22 stones, and nothing advances on a supervisor's word alone. Made in Jaipur under one roof, which is why a query is answered the same afternoon rather than the next month.
Baguette Bypass was made with the occasions that have historically called for white light, the evenings that justify a jeweller and openings, dinners and any room you intend to be remembered in in mind. Worn daily it will show its finish honestly, which is the intention. Sizing runs IN 5 to IN 18; resizing up to two sizes is complimentary for life.
Baguette Bypass is one of the references we will rebuild to order. Straightforward changes — a different centre stone, a change of metal to white gold, carat weight up or down and a matte, satin or hammered finish in place of the polish — are specified in the customisation studio and add nothing to the lead time; booking and pricing follow once the specification is settled. Structural changes, such as taking this cocktail to a different architecture entirely, need a conversation and a new CAD; that runs six to eight weeks from approval. Private-label and OEM versions of this mount are quoted from one piece upward.
