Customise this pieceReference SI-001 is a cluster earring, made in 18K Yellow Gold, holding 12 stones and built around a gathered head rather than a single focus. It measures 16.0 × 11.0 mm, and weighs 6.8 g gross. It sits in the everyday fine part of the book, and is made to your specification — price and booking on request, once we understand what you want changed.
The drawing started from the stone. Rhodolite Garnet at this size wants a cluster treatment — rhodolite sits between pyrope and almandine. In this form, clusters read larger than their carat weight, which is the point of them. Six oval garnets per ear, packed into an elliptical gold frame with rubies at the tips. The mount is cast in 18K Yellow Gold, then filed, emeried and pre-polished before setting. The setting on SI-001 is individual collet, clustered at 16.0 × 11.0 mm. All 12 stones are seated individually against the reference tray rather than to a jig. The last polish is deliberately slow, because speed rounds an edge that took an hour to cut. It passes six inspection gates between wax and pouch.
Garnet Ellipse is shown in 18K Yellow Gold — 18K, 75% fine gold, warm, and the traditional choice for yellow and green stones. The same mount can be made in white gold, rose gold, platinum or 950 palladium, quoted on the metal weight of 6.8 g rather than a flat uplift. Platinum runs roughly a third above 18K on this design because it is denser and slower to work. All gold and platinum is BIS hallmarked with the ANAGARI maker's mark.
18K Yellow Gold — 75% fine gold alloyed with silver and copper for a warm, slightly deep yellow. Struck with the BIS hallmark and the house mark.
Total carat weight is 5.60 ct, made up of rhodolite garnet and ruby. Rhodolite Garnet is Mohs 7–7.5 and untreated — rhodolite sits between pyrope and almandine. Colour is matched across the run under standard light, and any stone over 0.30 ct in a diamond piece ships with an independent certificate. Colour stones carry an ANAGARI identification report; IGI or GIA certification is available at cost.
Rhodolite Garnet — A rhodolite garnet selected in-house for saturation and clarity, matched by eye to the metal it sits in.
Ruby — Corundum coloured by chromium. Ours are principally Burmese and Mozambican, heat-treated only.
Every piece is weighed and dimensioned against the approved article before it leaves the floor — 6.8 g on SI-001. Six inspection gates sit between wax and packing: wax, casting, pre-polish, setting, finish and final. Setting is checked at ten-power on all 12 stones, and nothing advances on a supervisor's word alone. Made in Jaipur under one roof, which is why a query is answered the same afternoon rather than the next month.
Garnet Ellipse was made with birthdays, birthstones and the pleasure of colour, openings, dinners and any room you intend to be remembered in and a wardrobe rather than an occasion in mind. It is not a piece that needs a reason. Posts are 18K with butterfly backs as standard; screw backs and clip fittings are available at no extra cost.
Garnet Ellipse is one of the references we will rebuild to order. Straightforward changes — a different centre stone, a change of metal to white gold, carat weight up or down and a matte, satin or hammered finish in place of the polish — are specified in the customisation studio and add nothing to the lead time; booking and pricing follow once the specification is settled. Structural changes, such as taking this cluster to a different architecture entirely, need a conversation and a new CAD; that runs six to eight weeks from approval. Private-label and OEM versions of this mount are quoted from one piece upward.
Garnet Ellipse sets rhodolite garnet and ruby together, so: ultrasonic cleaning is safe for this piece, though we would rather do it here. Between times, warm water, pH-neutral soap and a soft brush. Most of the cleaning that matters happens on the reverse of the gallery. Store separately and flat — a shared pouch is a slow-motion accident. Remove before contact sport, gardening, and whenever you apply fragrance, sunscreen or hand cream.
