It came out of a request we could not fill from the book. Citrine sets the temperature of the piece and black rhodium follows it — natural citrine is genuinely rare. In this form, a stud is judged on how flat it sits. Cushion citrine in blackened bezels. The contrast makes the stone look lit from inside.

The mount is cast in Black Rhodium on 18K, then filed, emeried and pre-polished before setting. The setting on SI-004 is rub-over bezel, post and butterfly at 8.6 mm. All 2 stones are seated individually against the reference tray rather than to a jig. Final polish runs on a bristle wheel at low speed to keep the edges crisp. It passes six inspection gates between wax and pouch.
Citrine Noir Studs is shown in Black Rhodium on 18K — 18K base, black rhodium, black rhodium over 18K, which needs renewing every few years of daily wear. The same mount can be made in polished 18K, platinum or a matte rhodium, quoted on the metal weight of 3.2 g rather than a flat uplift. Platinum runs roughly a third above 18K on this design because it is denser and slower to work. All gold and platinum is BIS hallmarked with the ANAGARI maker's mark.
Black Rhodium on 18K — Black rhodium electroplated over 18K. Deliberately non-reflective, so the stones carry all the light.
Total carat weight is 4.60 ct. Citrine is Mohs 7 and heat-treated amethyst, usually — natural citrine is genuinely rare. Colour is matched across the run under standard light, and any stone over 0.30 ct in a diamond piece ships with an independent certificate. Colour stones carry an ANAGARI identification report; IGI or GIA certification is available at cost.

Every piece is weighed and dimensioned against the approved article before it leaves the floor — 3.2 g on SI-004. Six inspection gates sit between wax and packing: wax, casting, pre-polish, setting, finish and final. Setting is checked at ten-power on all 2 stones, and nothing advances on a supervisor's word alone. Made in Jaipur under one roof, which is why a query is answered the same afternoon rather than the next month.
Citrine Noir Studs was made with birthdays, birthstones and the pleasure of colour, ordinary Tuesdays, which is the hardest test a piece faces and the wrist and hand of someone who wears one piece well in mind. It photographs well, but it was built to be looked at from a foot away. Posts are 18K with butterfly backs as standard; screw backs and clip fittings are available at no extra cost.
Citrine Noir Studs is one of the references we will rebuild to order. Straightforward changes — a different centre stone, a change of metal to polished 18K, carat weight up or down and a matte, satin or hammered finish in place of the polish — are specified in the customisation studio and add nothing to the lead time; booking and pricing follow once the specification is settled. Structural changes, such as taking this stud to a different architecture entirely, need a conversation and a new CAD; that runs six to eight weeks from approval. Private-label and OEM versions of this mount are quoted from one piece upward.
Citrine Noir Studs sets citrine, so: do not put this piece in an ultrasonic cleaner — Citrine will not survive it. Warm water, a drop of pH-neutral soap and a soft brush is the correct method. Work from underneath; the film that kills brilliance collects behind the stone, not on it. Black rhodium is a plating and will wear at the high points with daily use; renewal is complimentary. Remove before contact sport, gardening, and whenever you apply fragrance, sunscreen or hand cream.
