The brief was proportion before ornament. Blue Topaz at this size wants a pendant treatment — perfect basal cleavage, so it is set with a light hand. Cast in 18K White Gold by lost wax, then filed and pre-polished before a stone goes near it. The setting on SI-076 is rub-over bezel at 22.0 × 12.0 mm pendant. All 32 stones are seated individually against the reference tray rather than to a jig. Finishing is done in three passes, the last by hand, so the arrises stay sharp. It passes six inspection gates between wax and pouch.
London Blue Teardrop is shown in 18K White Gold — 18K, 75% fine gold, rhodium-plated over a white alloy, renewed free for life. The same mount can be made in yellow gold, rose gold or 950 platinum, quoted on the metal weight of 4.2 g rather than a flat uplift. Platinum runs roughly a third above 18K on this design because it is denser and slower to work. All gold and platinum is BIS hallmarked with the ANAGARI maker's mark.
18K White Gold — 75% fine gold alloyed with palladium, then rhodium plated for whiteness. Re-plating is complimentary for life.
Total carat weight is 5.40 ct, made up of blue topaz and diamond. Blue Topaz is Mohs 8 and irradiated and heated for blue — perfect basal cleavage, so it is set with a light hand. Colour is matched across the run under standard light, and any stone over 0.30 ct in a diamond piece ships with an independent certificate. Colour stones carry an ANAGARI identification report; IGI or GIA certification is available at cost.

Diamond — Natural, conflict-free and traceable to the cutting house. Graded by IGI or GIA above 0.30 ct.
Every piece is weighed and dimensioned against the approved article before it leaves the floor — 4.2 g on SI-076. Six inspection gates sit between wax and packing: wax, casting, pre-polish, setting, finish and final. Setting is checked at ten-power on all 32 stones, and nothing advances on a supervisor's word alone. Made in Jaipur under one roof, which is why a query is answered the same afternoon rather than the next month.
London Blue Teardrop was made with birthdays, birthstones and the pleasure of colour, engagements, bridal portraits and the ceremony itself and a wardrobe rather than an occasion in mind. It photographs well, but it was built to be looked at from a foot away. Supplied on a chain to your length; 40, 45 and 50 cm are stocked and anything else is made.
London Blue Teardrop is one of the references we will rebuild to order. Straightforward changes — a different centre stone, a change of metal to yellow gold, carat weight up or down and a matte, satin or hammered finish in place of the polish — are specified in the customisation studio and add nothing to the lead time; booking and pricing follow once the specification is settled. Structural changes, such as taking this pendant to a different architecture entirely, need a conversation and a new CAD; that runs six to eight weeks from approval. Private-label and OEM versions of this mount are quoted from one piece upward.
