Customise this pieceA pendant necklace in 18K Yellow Gold, Lamp of Sindh is, set with 42 stones and built around a single point of interest at the sternum. It measures 28.0 × 20.0 mm, and weighs 5.4 g gross. It sits in the everyday fine part of the book, and is made to your specification — price and booking on request, once we understand what you want changed.
It came out of a request we could not fill from the book. Turquoise sets the temperature of the piece and yellow gold follows it — porous, and it takes colour from whatever it meets. In this form, the bail is sized to the chain rather than to the eye. An oil lamp tipped mid-pour, the spout set with turquoise and the body with ruby pavé. A wish, in the shape of an object.

The mount is cast in 18K Yellow Gold, then filed, emeried and pre-polished before setting. The setting on SI-080 is rub-over bezel at 28.0 × 20.0 mm. All 42 stones are seated individually against the reference tray rather than to a jig. Final polish runs on a bristle wheel at low speed to keep the edges crisp. It passes six inspection gates between wax and pouch.
Lamp of Sindh is shown in 18K Yellow Gold — 18K, 75% fine gold, warm, and the traditional choice for yellow and green stones. The same mount can be made in white gold, rose gold, platinum or 950 palladium, quoted on the metal weight of 5.4 g rather than a flat uplift. Platinum runs roughly a third above 18K on this design because it is denser and slower to work. All gold and platinum is BIS hallmarked with the ANAGARI maker's mark.
18K Yellow Gold — 75% fine gold alloyed with silver and copper for a warm, slightly deep yellow. Struck with the BIS hallmark and the house mark.
Total carat weight is 1.24 ct, made up of turquoise and ruby. Turquoise is Mohs 5–6 and stabilised — porous, and it takes colour from whatever it meets. Colour is matched across the run under standard light, and any stone over 0.30 ct in a diamond piece ships with an independent certificate. Colour stones carry an ANAGARI identification report; IGI or GIA certification is available at cost.
Turquoise — A turquoise selected in-house for saturation and clarity, matched by eye to the metal it sits in.
Ruby — Corundum coloured by chromium. Ours are principally Burmese and Mozambican, heat-treated only.
Metal weight is logged against the approved first article and must fall within two per cent — 5.4 g on SI-080. Six inspection gates sit between wax and packing: wax, casting, pre-polish, setting, finish and final. Setting is checked at ten-power on all 42 stones, and nothing advances on a supervisor's word alone. Made in Jaipur under one roof, which is why a query is answered the same afternoon rather than the next month.
Lamp of Sindh was made with birthdays, birthstones and the pleasure of colour, openings, dinners and any room you intend to be remembered in and a wardrobe rather than an occasion in mind. It is not a piece that needs a reason. Supplied on a chain to your length; 40, 45 and 50 cm are stocked and anything else is made.
Lamp of Sindh is one of the references we will rebuild to order. Straightforward changes — a different centre stone, a change of metal to white gold, carat weight up or down and a matte, satin or hammered finish in place of the polish — are specified in the customisation studio and add nothing to the lead time; booking and pricing follow once the specification is settled. Structural changes, such as taking this pendant to a different architecture entirely, need a conversation and a new CAD; that runs six to eight weeks from approval. Private-label and OEM versions of this mount are quoted from one piece upward.
Lamp of Sindh sets turquoise and ruby together, so: do not put this piece in an ultrasonic cleaner — Turquoise will not survive it. Warm water, a drop of pH-neutral soap and a soft brush is the correct method. Brush the back of the setting rather than the front — that is where light enters and where dulling happens. Store separately and flat — a shared pouch is a slow-motion accident. Remove before contact sport, gardening, and whenever you apply fragrance, sunscreen or hand cream.
